Access Magnet Student Work Placement Program funding for your institution and employers

Funding Reservation Request Form

The Magnet Student Work Placement Program reimburses eligible employers for 75% of wages (to a maximum of $7,500) for each eligible placement.

Employment and Social Development Canada has increased funding for the Magnet Student Work Placement Program by an additional 15,000 placements before March 31, 2021.

In order to facilitate these placements for the Fall 2020 and Winter 2021 terms, Magnet is making an effort to streamline access for institutions and their employers:

  1. Complete the following form to request a reservation of funding for your institution, employers and students.
  2. Magnet will review your request, confirm available funding, and respond with confirmation of available funding reserved for your institution.
  3. Upload any available placement data for your institution's employers (i.e. employer, placement, and student information) through Outcome Campus Connect. An OCC account and upload template will be provided.
  4. On review of the placement data, Magnet will contact your employers and begin the application process.
